Our Longland Is Dreaming

I’ve launched Our Longland Is Dreaming, a new one-year research and artistic project. It's a collaboration with Studio Sutherl&. You can follow its development by subscribing to this Substack.

Our Longland Is Dreaming will result in an installation or series of installations. It’s a project about a unique system of writing, the peasants’ revolution, the 14th century poem ‘Piers Plowman’, turning the fields and England.

It will begin on 1st September. From that date the Substack will be paid – £4 a month for twelve months. (If you are interested in following the project but don’t have the funds right now then let us know and we will comp you for free.)

Subscribers to the Substack will get to watch (and interact with) the visual and language research, experimentation and inspiration surrounding the project as well as the practicalities and process of staging a self-funded work outside of established artistic systems.

It will be an in-depth detailing of the development of the concept, physical ideas, and visual and language forms.

Full year subscribers will receive an invitation to the opening, planned for Autumn / Winter 2025, and a limited edition work.
